I heard that Jimmy MacCarthy will have two new songs from his forthcoming album to premier on Pat Kenny's show within the next few days.

Keep a listen out for the new songs, I will post if I hear them.

Will be looking forward to it.

More great news for Sin é..JIMMY MAC CARTHY is coming back into studio with Mick...Tuesday 16th February, the week before Luka..just off the phone, and Jimmy is putting the finishing touches to his new album, which will be called "Hey Ho Believe", which is also the title track of Jimmys new single. The album is produced by Donal Lunny, who also plays on the album. Also playing on the album, Eoin O'Neill, Anto Drennan, Graham Henderson and more. We really look forward again to this night, and I've asked Jimmy to bring his guitar which he will do.. 103.2fm www.dublincityfm.ie

The title track "Hey Ho Believe" is already on airplay.
I just heard the song this morning and so far I love it.
If you click "listen to the show" on this link and fast forward the clip to 39:00 this is Jimmy's new song.

Is the single for "Hey Ho Believe" in shops now?
I haven't heard any news about if it will be put out as a physical single but if it is I will try and get myself a copy straight away.

Most of the single releases today are for promotion and radio stations only!
They are rare and never available in a normal record shop, but sometimes you can find copies of them on Ebay.
Good luck!

Hi Guys.

Jimmy Mac is playing a small hall in a tiny village in Kerry this Fri 5th March,,,,talk about intimate venue,,,,,,its the kind of place where the local community ( read women ) bake buns and there is a break for home baking and tea & coffee during the gig and some people even cross the yard for a quick pint. There will probably be a raffle too !! if not a door prize also.......

The gig is in Scartaglin in the heart of Sliabh Luachra and in case anybody is interested tickets are available on 086 3966882. So much music so little time,,,,,,, H

What a sexist remark!!!

As a man I feel I must tell you that I have been known to knead a few buns in my time.....

Anyway, back to the reality of it.....

In Scartaglen there lives a lass....

....actually a well organised group of lassies who put on some very decent gigs. Didnt they host John Spillane recently too? Fair play to them. We should have more of that around the country.

Thanks Hil for the heads-up.

Made me enquiries today on the blower...Jimmy wont have his album out for about another 2 months, hopefully late Spring. Something to look forward too though is next Monday morning..Jimmy is back on RTE Radio 1 with Ryan Tubridy, but this time, Jimmy will be doing the complete show. Maybe they got such a good reaction that they wanted more? Donal and the rest of the artists on the album will also accompany Jimmy in studio, and I believe they will be taking calls from maybe Mary Black, Maura O'connell in Nashville, and possibly Christy. Thats on at 9 am next Monday..hope that helps, and also he said to keep an eye on his web site as all news of releases etc wil be on there...Lar

p.s. He plays this coming Wed night in The NCH, Dublin, almost sold out..L

Hey Lar I'm new here but I do have one question.
With Jimmy's new album coming out soon do you know if he will be making any TV appearances to promote the record like The Late Late Show or something. If so what date will it be and on and on what show. Please let me know if you have any ideas cause I would love to find out.
